    How can I read the code dates on the Lance® package?
    Taste and freshness will always be a primary concern for Lance®. To ensure you get the same intense snacking experience every time you open a Lance® product we've introduced freshness dating. Lance's "Guaranteed Fresh by," is our guarantee to you that our product will be fresh until the day, month and year shown on the snack's package. The numbers below the freshness date indicate the actual ovens used to bake the snack, so in the event that you are ever dissatisfied with our product, we can take the necessary steps to correct the problem. Lance® is committed to providing only the freshest products for your on the go snacking.


    How do I know if a Lance® product is Kosher?
    Many of Lance's products are certified by the Orthodox Union and carry the following Kosher certification on the front of the packaging:

    What is a Trans Fat?
    Trans Fats are formed when vegetable oils are processed. During this process, hydrogen is added to the oil resulting in Trans Fats. Many food companies have used this process in order to maintain product freshness and to ensure a desirable texture in their products. Trans Fats are commonly found in foods such as donuts, cookies, cakes, crackers, microwave popcorn and fast foods.

    Lance has removed Trans Fats from most of our products, while maintaining the same great taste that you've come to expect. To find all of our products that contain 0 grams of Trans Fat, check out our Nutritional Database.

    How do I get information about allergens and Lance® products?
    Lance is concerned about everyone who enjoys snacking. If you are allergic to such foods as peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, milk/dairy, seeds or soy, please be sure to read the ingredients carefully. With such a wide variety of snacks available, we are sure there are plenty of Lance® snacks you can enjoy.     How and when did Lance begin?
    In 1913, Philip L. Lance, who was a food broker at the time, was left with 500 pounds of surplus peanuts. Rather than send them back to the farmer who supplied the peanuts, Mr. Lance roasted them, packed them in paper bags and sold them on the streets of Charlotte, North Carolina.You can watch a short video clip on Lance's history by visiting the video page, and selecting the video called "Lance History".
